FERRARI 360 AZZURO CALIFORNIA PHOTOS

The Ferrari herein pictured is one of only thiry (30) or fewer painted by the Ferrari factory in Azzuro California throughout the entire 360 series production which numbered just under 18,000 cars!

Current records show that there are only eight (8) coupes and ten (10) spiders in the US in the Azzuro California color.

The Modena displayed here is a 2000 model year 360 series Modena with a 6 speed manual transmission and a deep navy blue interior.

The Azzuro California color was mixed in the late 1950's after Enzo Ferrari had made his first visit to Monterey, California. He was so impressed with the beautiful blue nature of the sky there that he had the color made. It was his personal color.

It has been used very sparingly by Ferrari since that time.

To the best record of date no 430 series Ferrari's or 599 series Ferrari's have been sprayed in Azzuro California.

The first two cars of the newest California model Ferrari recently introduced were sprayed in the classic Ferrari red (Rosso Corso) and Azzuro California. The Azzuro car has been shown publically more than the red version!

The interesting note is that one of the newest replacments for the 430 Ferrari that is being announced this Fall is painted Azzuro California. Interesting how Ferrari is now using this color to feature their newest models!

Now that's an interesting note!

The photos below shown were taken at different times in different venues and with different cameras. The color changes with different conditions, and the results are obvious.
